Discover me
There is more
Than a melancholic reflection
In these eyes
Mesmerized by your beauty
Expose me
Underneath the skin
Where I hide
From you
Yearning
To lose myself
In you
Hold me
From nightfall
Until dawn
As intimately
As dusk
Melts
Into starlight
Taste me
With fevered lips
And I promise
To immortalize you
In poetry

The muse within ~
a touch of madness
through our fingers bleeding
endless streams of stars.

No one knows us like the muse, no one hugs so deeply; no one finds beauty in our melancholic flowers and nurtures them to blossom in the face of dawn as her understanding and touch.
Such beauty dwells within you my friend…

Your sigh is music to my ears, Kimberly. Thank you. I found a funny typo when I was re-reading this piece before posting. I had typed “duck” instead of “dusk”. lol.

So sensuous! It really gripped me from beginning to end!
Usually I quote lines that I find the best. This time around I was in a fix coz I could not choose. The whole poem is so fluid. Mesmerizing !
Noora, you are a splendid poet.
Much Love to you
