Nestled
In a deep
Smiling silence
Revitalized
Like nature
After a long
Winter’s rest
Breathless whispers
Wandering hands
Sleepy kisses
Devouring eyes
Speak of love
Better than
The finest poetry
The blushing sun
Peeks over the horizon
As we break
The dawn’s silence
With moans and sighs
Of pure euphoria
Intertwined
In a hungry embrace
On our first morning

lol, Sarah. Actually, (should I admit this? lol) Euphoria IS an older piece – although recently edited. There is so much to write about, yet I can’t seem to get anything finished. I’ve decided to post some of my old work… in order to focus on the new stuff. Hope your heart is smiling. 🙂

Old or new, we don’t care. 😀 By the way, what’s your favourite poem of your own?

Probably the poem I haven’t even written yet. Hmmm… they have so much sentimental value, but if I’d have to pick one, I’d say (this is DIFFICULT! lol) “Afterglow”… or one particular poem I haven’t posted yet, and I don’t know if I ever will.

I love it! … The fourth stanza is perfect! ….
I also liked the rhythmic oscillations, which I believe depict your poem in a sort of progressive way, leading to the euphoric moment. A very clever use of poetic devices here… (don’t know if it was intentional, but either way it works beautifully!)… All the very best to you Noora! Aquileana 🙂
