passion is poetry. What matters is that it is meaningful to you. I love Pablo Neruda. One of my favorite poets of all time. How he takes the simple moments in life and makes them beautiful, how he takes the meaningful moments in time and makes them momentous.

I think it’s important for writers to connect so we can share, encourage, support, and respond to others’ work. Even if we’re writing for ourselves, someone else’s view is always interesting.

If not anything, I could effortlessly spend hours simply looking at the above image. But how could I possibly do that upon an abode like this — one so poignant and eloquent in its offerings? Noora, your poetry is exquisite! And the “light” shining in your heart for your muse is serene.
A wonderful treat to be here. I shall be keenly looking forward to more “blood of your ink”.
Thank you for visiting me and leaving your imprints on my meek world.

Noora,
Thanks for stopping by Aspiring to Inspire and liking “A Heart’s Hunger.” I am pleased that you have chosen to write. I agree there are many wonderful poets in the world, but that is not reason to not express our heart’s joys, desires and sadness. One never knows who our words will touch in a way that will provide hope to another – sometimes it may be the recognition that he or she is not alone and that is a lot! Keep on writing. 🙂

I know I will – it’s just not the right time yet. I’ve stayed in Chania (Nea Chora) twice, and I was thinking about staying in Rethymno next time because I want to experience the eastern side of Crete and visit Spinalonga. Please, feel free to email me when you know your dates. 🙂

🙂 How strange that you mention Rethymno! That’s where I’m going! I’ll be staying in the village at the outskirts (Metochi). My mom is from there — my dad is from Thessaloniki, so I’ll be going there for a short time as well. We all prefer Crete, though. 🙂 Have you ever been to Knossos or know much about it? Now that was an amazing place to experience. I’ll definitely let you know.

Wow!!!! I was thinking about going on July 10th or 11th, but something came up, and I haven’t been able to book my tickets/make any decisions yet. I spent a few hours in Rethymno two years ago when I was heading to Heraklion AND Knossos – it was an impressive experience. 🙂

Noora, thank you for your support! Reading that you have a 14 yr old I chuckled remembering what our family doctor said to me when my kids turned that age. He asked, ‘So are you stupid yet?’.
